Initial Consultation

Service Description

During our first consultation we will explore our potential to develop a therapeutic relationship. Beginning therapy can be an intimidating prospect. I bring a gentle compassion to my sessions, and together we talk about your situation for an understanding about what you need to achieve the outcomes that you hope for. We will explore the sorts of therapy that could work best for you and your individual needs. Our discussion will include; ↑ ‘What you think it is that you need?’ ↑ ‘What we think that we can achieve during an initial period of 4-6 weeks of therapy?’ ↑ ‘What period of time is likely to achieve and then sustain some of the outcomes hoped for?’ I have worked for several years within the New Zealand healthcare system. I have resources that will assist you to receive subsidies that are available from government funding providers. I will share this information with you during our initial session and discuss how this may be applied to your situation. ADDITIONAL INFO Follow up session prices are $150. Allow 1hr. Longer sessions are available at an extra cost, if requested in advance. Government subsidy is available for applicants who meet the criteria to receive ACC counselling or WINZ funds. PRACTICE LOCATIONS Sessions can be held at anyone of the following locations at the same cost. Please let me know your preference when booking.
